MJHS Hospice offers a unique way of caring for Jewish patients by addressing individual, spiritual and religious beliefs in accordance with Jewish law (Halacha). The residence observes all kosher dietary laws. A rabbi is available on request to provide pastoral counseling, caring conversations and end-of-life issues.
Jewish holidays are observed, and all staff members are sensitive to Jewish religious and cultural preferences. Patient, family and chosen rabbinic advisor, or Posek, can be included in the medical decision-making process.
